Our Heritage Box Sash Window is our premium timber window, featuring a ‘weights and cords’ mechanism. It has been sympathetically designed to meet the exacting standards of architects, homeowners and conservation officers alike.
This traditionally styled sash window suits both new builds and renovation projects. Mouldings are respectful of classic sightlines, giving period authenticity to complement buildings with traditional architecture. The weight and cord mechanism reinforces a traditional feel, sliding with a single finger push.
We employ both traditional joinery methods and modern technologies, using discreet modern innovations to ensure that every finished window looks beautiful and performs well.
All frames come with staff beads to form rebates and decorative horns externally as standard (unless otherwise stated).
We employ modern wood profiling and precise manufacturing techniques giving a sharp edge, and use a dowelled connection, thus creating “the perfect flush joint”, as opposed to "V" joints.
All windows shown are manufactured to metric brick bond sizes.
Windows and frame have three coats of paint applied at our workshop prior to delivery. Cill rebated for window board (unless stated otherwise at time of order).
Our windows are:
• Factory glazed using dry drainage system
• Brush sealed to parting beads and meeting rails
• Fully weather stripped with brush seals and foam weather seals
NOTE: Care must be taken when decorating not to paint brush seals.
Westbury offers a selection of options which can be manufactured to your exact requirements.
Also available is our single-glazed Historic Box Sash Window.
